Fashion Design for Teens & Adults
Learn the basics of fashion design from a NYC fashion designer.
The first series is over and it was so much fun!
I've been asked by a few older folks if I had a class for adults, so I'm looking at adding one this year :)
*Teens and Adults will be in separate classes
What you will learn:
How to design like a professional fashion designer:
1. Design for your dream client
2. Take a deep dive into the latest trends
3. Create a mood/inspiration board
4. Put it all together and design a perfect outfit for your dream client
5. Share your vision, inspiration and design
6. Build confidence in your own creative expression
When:
10 Zoom sessions - Dates: TBD
Engaging Class time: 1/2 hr - 1 hr depending no how many students there are.
Optional Q&A: 1/2hr after class - get all of your fashion or project related questions answered.
You will need 1-2 hrs/wk outside of class to work on assignments.
*If you have to miss a class. No problem. All classes will be recorded on Zoom and available to watch within 24hrs.
What you will need:
Access to a computer
Google Slides (if you don't know how to use them, it's ok...we'll go over it.)
Vellum or Tracing Paper Pad - 11"x14" recommended
Markers, colored pencils
Croquis print out - file will be provided
Basic Flats - file will be provided
*We will be creating a fashion sketch of your design. We will not be making a pattern and sewing your design. That would take a whole other course to complete :)

Hi everyone...My name is Jaz. I am passionate about the role fashion plays in self expression. I have been designing in NYC for over 20 years. I have had my own line and recently launched a new line. I have designed for nearly every American hip-hop artist from Beyonce to Jay-Z. Many of these lines were launched with my designs. Check out the rest of my site to learn more about my experience.
